I'd love to see a dedicated photography community. not for posting photos but like camera gear, questions, news about photography etc.

not sure how we decide what communities get added/made.

Really digging it so far.

She's been through her 3rd cable box and it not working and she just told me she's wants me to bring her to the Comcast store and get something else.

I'm thinking YouTube TV since it has the local channels that she wants and the unlimited DVR. We have gigabit fiber so speed won't be an issue.

Google can’t display tweets and pages from Twitter in search results as effectively as it usually does because of changes at Twitter, according to a statement given to The Verge. “We’re aware that our ability to crawl Twitter.com has been limited, affecting our ability to display tweets and pages from the site in search results,” spokesperson Lara Levin said. “Websites have control over whether crawlers can access their content.”

I tried googling it but I couldn't find anything (might've searched for it wrong). does that mean the comity needs to approve it?

First of all as it stands Mlem has been rock solid, very stable with no crashes.

1. the swipe feature for upvote/downvote and saving posts is very sensitive. when scrolling it thinks I'm swiping left/right

2. vote counts don't seem to update unless I open said post or comment (not sure if this is a lemmy or Mlem issue but I figured id add it).

3. I'd like to see the submit a post or a comment to be a button not a text bark on the bottom. that would probably allow for richer comments.

4. Favicons next to the commutity name would be a big visual help.

5. A bit more visual dissection between posts and comments would also be a big help. (Apollo being a good example of that)

I know it really early but Mlem really does feel like it has great potential! keep up the good work.
