An air force pilot amongst other things. Pursued a career in electronics/Comms instead and ended up working on aviation ATC ground systems.

You succeeded. You drive data busses.

Good to know about other users experiences. I've been with them for 20 years and apart from some downtime in the early years they have been solid. I don't really have an issue to what their staff can access, it whether there had been any data breaches that I was unaware of. I've not looked at Proton but I was curious enough to look at Tutanota based on Germany as they have a presence on the fediverse.

Long time Fastmail user here. Where is it failing with respect to privacy?

Thanks for the recommendation. Have just installed and connected back to Beehaw.

When was the license fee re- introduced? I'm sure it was free when I took the exams at Dayton in 2013 but it cost me $35 for the 10 year renewal back in March.

Same issue here. I've sent feedback to Developer. It was starting with a minimum version warning but now I see the changelog screen briefly before it crashes and burns. I guess that's the price of living at the bleeding edge of the fediverse ;) In the meantime I'm back to Vivaldi mobile.

It looks neat. I miss keyboard phones, particularly my Blackberry. It may be due to my varifocals but I have issues hitting the correct keys with an on-screen touch keyboard.

I can't even remember if I subscribed to r/archlinux over there, I've eradicated my account now so it doesn't really matter. The important bits are (1) I'm an Arch user, amd64 and arm7hf mainly. (2) I'm subbed to this community. May it live long and prosper!

It's been a good few years since I looked at Bob Heil's stuff but there were two choices for the mic inserts. HC-5 was the normal frequency response insert and the HC-4 was the DX insert - a lot sharper sounding audio.

The process of applying for a Voter Authority Certificate online is quite straightforward . As long as you are registered to vote, you only need a recent photograph and your National Insurance number. You can apply online here, I appreciate that not everyone can set some time aside for this, but if you do try please share any obstacles or difficulties you encounter.

I have tried the search, for example !space@lemmy.link doesn't return anything - but if I try @space@lemmy.link or space@lemmy.link I get the response not found. Maybe I need to wait longer for the search to query the remote instance @lemmy.link?
