I really hoped that the mask stigma would change, but it's sad to see it go this way. I might just start wearing a mask again to do my part to normalize it.
If people are sick, they should feel like it's the right thing to do to wear a mask. It needs to be a normal thing and people that make fun of it are pieces of shit .
Other studies show that in health-care workers, n95 vs medical masks made almost no statistical difference.
However, the use of masks in the public is not necessarily to protect yourself. It's to keep you from spreading germs in a wide range if you cough. It's the same concept as herd immunity with vaccinations. We all help protect each other.
So with that in mind: wear a washable cloth mask.
Not sure what he expected. I commend all the protesting, but we all saw how reddit responded. They didn't give two shits. Yet people stick around in a toxic relationship with the site until they get removed. It's weird. Why not just make the move to Lemmy before they take everything from you?
People don't want to be vegan for a variety of issues.
My personal problem comes with things like not eating honey. Beekeepers keep bee populations healthy. Those bees pollinate the food vegans eat. But for some dumb ass reason vegans are against it.
I'm all for moving away from meat, but exclusion shouldn't be the focus. The majority of people will never convert to vegan diet, but we CAN get them to replace some of what they eat with vegetarian alternatives.
There isn't an easy statement that explains why things are getting worse.
The housing market, for instance, was being affected by low interest rates. Low rates make being a slum lord more profitable than other forms of investment. This caused a massive amount of investment in the housing market by rich people and corporations, and normal people were priced out.
The banks that failed did so because they either invested in dumb things (crypto) or in long-term bonds. Those bonds lose value as interest rates rise, and SVB invested far too much into them.

The bug with Rattlers is that sometimes the cluster munitions inside the missile don't get restocked. That's most likely why you see this happening.
I remember when Rattlers worked well 😃 and everyone was spamming them, but that was many years ago. Missiles in general started working better again in 3.18, but they're still pretty hit-or-miss. And NPCs will target and shoot them now! so Rattlers might be the way to go (too many projectiles for them to get them all).

This makes a lot of sense. Essentially this will only happen in a bar that has bad bartenders that can't do their job very well.
