I'm sorry that you had to go through what you did. I left Christianity behind over 20 years ago for various reasons. I've since just been happy embracing the ineffable.

They accept the modern ultra-cluttered short attention span theater moneygrab marketplace as ‘the norm’

So true!

I switched from Windows to Apple back in 2008...I have never regretted it.

The Wikipedia entry does a very good job in its first few paragraphs:

The fediverse (a portmanteau of "federation" and "universe") is an ensemble of social networks which can communicate with each other, while remaining independent platforms. Users on different social networks and websites can send and receive updates from others across the network.

ActivityPub, a W3C standard, is the most widely used protocol that powers the fediverse. Noted fediverse platforms include Mastodon, Lemmy, PeerTube, Pixelfed, and Threads.

Thank you and no worries.

From now on, please, just post an archive link instead of copy/pasting the entire article. There are copyright laws that we must follow here. Thanks.

I believe that John Oliver, and the other writers/producers of this show, have done a wonderful job here. I don't believe that they had anything to gain and, more than likely, have a lot to lose by standing up for truth.

My original request is here and I am thankful for those that have started the testing process. However, the developer isn't comfortable (and neither am I) coming out of beta testing until we've had a little more activity using the site.

This project is not affiliated, in any way, with religious traditions. This is an academic endeavor that deals with textual criticism under the larger umbrella of humanities.

I just received my invite code today and took a quick look around the app. Like Mastodon I do not prefer microblogging platforms. And that's all I know about Bluesky.

So, what can you tell me about this project?
