+1 for alternativeto. Searching for alternatives to popular apps using the filters like "Open Source" as well as operating system, privacy, etc.. is a game changer. There's also comment sections where people sometimes elaborate on certain things like differences between the app you're comparing to.

I make it a habit to check the site every so often since they update the recomendations quite a bit as new things come up.

I also may have accidently reported? Even though all I did was upvote this post...

That looks nice. I think I'll try it out.

I see you from the Beehaw lemmy instance!

Beehaw actually federates with lemmy.ml, but blocks federation with lemmygrad. ~~In fact I believe that is the only instance that is blocked on Beehaw~~.

Edit: just checked and beehaw blocks a number of instances:

Thanks for the visual example. I was also looking for this functionality and was about to ask, but I just figured it out.

For anyone confused, you tap and hold down on the top part of a comment next to the commenter's name and it should collapse that chain.

Personally I would prefer just tapping on the colored lines on the left side, at least that's what I'm used to.

I never thought about it that way, but yeah it feels like we're in the future 🤯

I've been looking for something like this. Looks like I have some reading to do.

There have been some nice sales on the Arc cards. I'm considering picking one up for its AV1 capabilities.

As someone who's mained Debian for last year or two, this is all solid information 👍

Most people are using Jerboa on Android. There are also some Reddit 3rd party apps, like RedReader, with plans to support Lemmy integration in the near future.
