Hopefully we keep some human doctors around too though. I recall when automated customer service kinda helped at first but then one day pressing 0 no longer brought you to a person.

There were 800 people on the train. Who knows if one of them was traveling to have (or perform) a life saving medical procedure. Someone may have been rushing home to say final goodbyes to a passing loved one. There are any number of reasons 800 people should not wait indefinitely while authorities remove a pet cat from under a train. The owners let it escape. It's unfortunate, but actions have consequences.
I'm open to changing my mind if anyone wants to argue the other side.

It's funny that most of these elite schools have slots for "legacy admission" aka your parents went to the school and are big financial donors. More people get in that way than through affirmative action. Nobody seems to care about that though. Doesn't really seem to be about an individual's qualifications.
