I wonder if it's the same deal for Canada

Putting on a mask won't stop you from getting sick, it stops you from spreading your own germs..

Having had to learn about ketoacidosis for my schooling, I was always confused how this keto diet was a good idea.. ketones = bad is what I was told. I'm assuming you're not going to the point of ketoacidosis, but having your body create ketones still doesn't sound like something I'd want.

"Female" is a slur or something? What?

I used a TV for years. Didn't bother me at all and I gamed on it. Also tvs have built in speakers where as as far as I'm aware computer monitors don't. I suppose not all tvs are the same though so ymmv.

1+ for Linux desktop and Steamdeck. I don’t touch my PC much anymore since getting my Steam Deck, I have no desire to sit at a desk. There's just some financial stuff I have to do on the desktop, but rarely.

Otherwise it's all mobile. I'd love to get a Linux phone, but as far as I'm aware they won't run the apps I need/want so I'm still using Android.

I honestly didn't even know you could. With just over 100 games I've never felt the need to though, I can wade through them pretty easily and remember what I have.

Something Canadian, that's refreshing. It always annoyed me the LTT was Canadian but always put prices in American..

Oh for sure, a lot of people love the game obviously, it's a great game. Just not for me unfortunately.

That's a big reason a could never get into City Skylines, I have 0 interest in managing roadways, and I feel like that's 90% of what that game is. Now they're going to throw even more micromanaging on top of that, I don't think I'll be looking to get this one.

I don't think regular people would disagree with you.

Such poor coding, how hard could it be to not let people use products that aren't food? This along with their comment just makes them seem so lazy.

Apparently they also made the garlic chilli sauce I used to buy that I can't find anymore either. I've got a couple recipes I'm not making anymore since I can't find it.

I want to create a niche community, but considering Lemmy can't see kbin magazines, wouldn't it make more sense to make the community on Lemmy, that way people from both Lemmy and kbin can be a part if it?

Maybe I should have posted this on a nostupidquestions community, I don't know.

This is why apps like Boost, who never signed up for a subscription model are still functioning.

The Admin's Reddit post from July 1st is as follows: (links edited in some areas as they didn't transfer will to here)

Updated rate limits going into effect over the coming weeks

Hi Devs,

Over the last few months, we’ve shared updates on our Data API Terms and Developer Terms. Shortly, we will begin enforcing the previously announced updated API rate limits. Rate limits will go into effect for all apps with usage above the free limit in the coming weeks, and some changes will be noticeable over the next 24 hours.

As we have shared, this will not impact non-commercial bots operating within free rate limits or moderator tools.

Free API access rates are as follows:

  • 100 queries per minute per OAuth client id if you are using OAuth authentication
  • 10 queries per minute if you are not using OAuth authentication

The vast majority of third-party apps and bots fall into the free usage category and should not see any disruptions. Our free rates account for bursts in usage.

For apps that exceed these limits, we have exempted select clients (for example, accessibility-focused apps like RedReader, Luna, and Dystopia), mod bots, and mod tools. If your bot or tool is affected unexpectedly, please reach out https://reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=14868593862164.

Some users wonder if the dev will be charged for having it still up, others argue Reddit can't charge him without having signed a contract. Everyone is confused as to why the API change hasn't made it inoperable.

Why is Boost still working?
