I'm curious how difficult that would be.

New users shouldn't be recommended to use Arch flavors.

foobar2000 is a counter example, but yeah the mobile space has none of those

Luckily duck is good enough-ish.

it's embarrassing but for me it's thinkfan. Instead I wrote my own solution in bash.

I don't think it would be great for a pie hole on a gigabit connection. (if you have s slow connection then it's good ofc)However there are use cases it's good for. Print server, smb server, kitchen radio with Pyradio, retro gaming etc

Immutable distros like Silverblue or Bazzite are the only path I see that can work for normies. However flatpak itself has to mature more, theming anomalies need to be dealt with somehow for example.

Mint is only good to ease a technically inclined person into the linux world.

it's hard to get a permanent teaching position in China, i'm sure shipping "qualified" teachers to teach the kids XJT won't be very difficult. Not dystopian at all...

Napoleon was held in British custody.

You have to reboot yes, however only once. The step where you boot into your snapshot is redundant.

You are making it unnecessarily difficult for yourself. Rolling back a snapshot that you made before the intentional messing around is less effort than rebooting twice for seemingly no reason. Booting into a snapshot is not sandboxing, it's not an added layer of security against a malicious package.

I think he was at the very least rather gifted in some ways. Then his brain declined and then declined again and again. Substances + alcohol + covid fog + aging?

To show the panel above a game window, without Firefox, Dolphin windows, the start menu etc popping up alongside it?

I'm using the 'Move keyboard focus between panels' keybind as a non-reliable workaround right now.

Do plasmoids need QT 6 porting?

I spent an incredible amount of time figuring this one out, despite the solution being very simple. So I'll just share this here, who knows perhaps someone else can benefit from this.

So here is how to fix the Cyberpunk 2077(1.6) black screen problem with Nvidia. (this does not affect every Nvidia Linux user of course, but I've found people on Reddit suffering from the same problem)

You'll need Bottles (probably Lutris would work too with an identical envo, but I have not succeeded with Lutris), the flatpak is good, but don't forget to run Flatseal to give Bottles folder permissions as needed.

So basically, Bottles has a main menu button that looks like this: 三. Click on that and go into preferences, once there install the following items:

Runner:

                               -caffe-7.20

DLL Components:

                              -dxvk-2.2-5-9b019d2

                              -vkd3d-proton-2.9-3-db60896

                              -dxvk-nvapi-v0.6.3-2-f2e8ed9

Once done, make a new custom bottle, enable all 4 of these things there & also set the Windows version to 8.1, Sync to Esync and turn on Feral GameMode. With these settings the black screen issue is solved for me, though I had to press 'esc' once to skip an intro that refused to run (well it's still black screen, but a skippable kind..).

With my gtx 1060 the performance is decent, comparable to Windows.
