Maybe a trade school is more your speed; nothing wrong with it and people are hiring. But before all that, take a road trip, get out of your head and see some country. Find joy in outdoor life and exercise that's just for fun. Maybe swimming is your jam and you haven't discovered it yet. Do what makes you happy, don't let your family tell you how to live your life.
