The whole thing is batshit insane, but possibly the most insane claim is that Lyme disease came from vaccine research.

There is strong evidence that Lyme disease has been around for hundreds, if not thousands of years. There's evidence of Lyme disease in Ötzi's remains.

The size of the sample compared to the size of the population doesn’t really matter. What matters is how representative the sample is.

If they got a truly random sample (they didn’t), then 1000 is plenty.

Realistically, it’s probably 1000 Millennial and Gen Z Credit Karma users (already a niche group) who bothered to open an email and take a survey, which is not a realistic representation.

Out of those, application performance class is the one you want. Even better is a real-world random read benchmark.

  • The capacity standard isn’t super helpful. Everything from 64GB to 2TB is SDXC, which is supported.
  • The Steam Deck only uses UHS-I. It’ll work with UHS-II and UHS-III cards, but they won’t have any meaningful benefits.
  • Pretty much any decent microSD Card in 2023 is class 10. If it’s anything else, that’s a red flag.
  • Higher UHS speed class and video speed class are probably better, but they’re measuring write performance. For playing games, random read performance is far more important.

Not OP, but I do like coffee.

I like to have one or two monthly “roaster’s choice” subscriptions. This way, I get to try something a little different every few weeks.

I’ve enjoyed Black and White, Intelligentsia, and Sey so far.

That’s one of the reasons why I joined this instance instead of any of the others.

The “strong alumni community and donor base” does nothing to help society at large when these prestigious universities sit on billions of dollars in endowments instead of actually growing the universities.

Harvard, Yale, and Princeton combined have 40,000 students (and they combine for about $170 billion in their endowments). UC Berkeley, a public university of comparable prestige, has 45,000 students (with a pittance of $7 billion in its endowment)

Why accept these unqualified students for their money when you aren’t planning to spend the money you already have?

The biggest issues with Pikmin 1 are:

  • Pathfinding is really rough. My Pikmin keep getting stuck behind things or walking into water.
  • There is no lock-on to throw.
  • The 30 day time limit is a bit of a challenge. (However, you can restart from any day in the Wii and Switch versions, and Pikmin 2 doesn’t have a strict limit like Pikmin 1).

Absolutely true. StableLM is a thing, and although it’s not as good as ChatGPT or even Bard, it’s a huge step. I’m sure there will be better free models in the months and years to come.

3 was awesome.

I’m playing 1 for the first time since I was a kid (I didn’t get far), and it holds up fairly well. The pikmin have horrible pathfinding, and the UI got stretched in the port, but it’s still a lot of fun.

Ooh, I might give this a shot. Currently using kitty, but this looks like a great alternative.

I pre-ordered Pikmin 4 after playing the demo. It wasn’t perfect, but it was really good.
