Gavlan wheel? Gavlan deal.

Latex is an alternative to memory foam usually used for the top or middle layers. It's the best for relieving pressure and regulating temperature, but you pay a premium for the benefits.

The mattress rabbit-hole runs deep. You can always DIY one if you want to save a bit.

If you're in a position where you can afford it, Latex mattress w/ springs are almost life changing.

I never used to think about the quality of my underwear until I got some from Saxx & Pair of Thieves. Now I can't imagine going back.

They're apparently pretty healthy as far as sweets go, too. My mind just struggles to process black beans in desserts.

Let me know if you bake some. 😮

EDIT: Just made some. Verdict? The bean brownies taste just like the real thing. Mouthfeel is good, too.

I've seen a few recipes for black bean brownies that people swear by, but also many complaints too. Have any of you tried these before? If not, would you?

Already love it! Would you willing to hide the status bar, or add a setting that hides it?

It's not coming to PS5, period. Interesting given it was initially a PlayStation exclusive.

Minoxidil stimulates bloodflow around the follicles and pushes them into the growth phase. It's usually applied topically.

Finasteride reduces the amount of DHT inside the body, as the hormone can attack hair follicles causing scarring. It's taken orally. Some have complained of serious, permanent side effects after using this medication.

I don't see any mention of Coreboot or Libreboot, though.

[–] CDN 1 points 1 year ago

Neither Coreboot nor Libreboot support the ARM CPUs in the Pinebooks.

As far as I'm aware, you can't buy a prebuilt computer that ticks all of those boxes. System76 has Coreboot-supported laptops, but they don't offer it with their desktops because it's nearly impossible. And you can just forget about Libreboot, since it barely runs on anything. Neither is exactly ideal for modern systems, though...

The best you can do is build your own, but even then, it still requires the Intel FSP. Installing your own distro would be as simple as plugging in a flash drive with the installer when you're done.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the project, Skyblivion is remake of Oblivion inside the Skyrim game engine. They're remaking all of the assets and overhauling the maps, among other things. It's one of the most ambitious mods of all time, slated to release in 2025.

This trailer was released back in January, but it seems many haven't heard the good news or even learned of the project yet. With the five year anniversary of the TES VI announcement and nothing to show for it, you'll probably get to play this before Bethesda gives us anything.

Every star ages, but astronomers rarely get to watch it happen in real time. Now, they've gotten a front-row seat to the aging of an unusually chaotic star — and found that it's headed toward a spectacularly violent death.

The star, located in the nearby Triangulum galaxy (also known as Messier 33), is in the middle of a transition into a class of highly unstable stars called Wolf-Rayet stars. New observations show that the star has begun beaming a new signal that was not seen when the star was first spotted in 2018.

The new signal was detected in the peaks and valleys of the star's spectra, the wavelengths of the electromagnetic radiation it emits, and shows that the star is churning either carbon or iron deep within it through nuclear fusion. The new signal also indicates that the massive star, easily 25 times the sun's mass, has inched closer to its eventual fate of exploding into a spectacular supernova.

Gaunt's team is calling the star BELLS 1, an acronym for "broad emission-lined luminous sources, the kind of wide range of emissions radiated by Wolf-Rayet stars.

According to NASA, Wolf-Rayet stars like BELLS 1 live fast and die hard, so watching one evolve is a rare and valuable opportunity for astronomers. Only 200 such stars are known to be in the Milky Way galaxy. Astronomers suspect that 1,000 or 2,000 more may be out there but are obscured by thick blankets of dust.

Edamame beans, hard boiled eggs and popcorn are my personal favourites.

Google released a new version of Android TV, but it can't be installed on Google TV dongles yet. I have to wonder if Nvidia will update their ageing Shield TV line-up?
