In 2021, over [14?] million users (by device) spent 30 percent or more of their time playing Call of Duty, over 6 million users spent more than 70% of their time on Call of Duty, and about 1 million users spent 100% of their gaming time on Call of Duty. In 2021, Call of Duty players spent an average of [116?] hours per year playing Call of Duty. Call of Duty players spending more than 70 percent of their time on Call of Duty spent an average of 296 hours on the franchise.

That has been one of my arguments against people saying why would people get consoles if Sony exclusives came to PC? Average person doesn't care about exclusives coming to PC, and prefer consoles. And many don't even care about exclusives with their consoles being dedicated shooter and fifa machines. Exclusive stuff have been more a console vs console war among companies, since many console users are console users because they want to be. So bring on over the exclusives to the PC.

What even crazier is that there was only a very brief point in time where PC gaming was cheaper than consoles. Early beefy PC's were expensive, mid 2000's beefy PC's were priced higher and didn't have game sales to offset the cost. It wasn't until about 2009-2015 where building a PC that was on par or better than consoles while costing about the same, with the benefit of Steam sales.

That quickly changed by 2018 with the 2000 series release, which were the start of priced out PC's again.

The only thing I can understand for Sony not porting their games earlier is that Steam sales in recent years have declined. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony was taking Nintendo pricing philosophy as a reason to keep them from being devaluated over time and sales metrics. Otherwise... Sony, your consoles were subsidized to be cheaper than PC's. You were only losing game sales. Moreover, they were losing double dipping money.

I remember when I was still on twitter a couple of years ago. Ken Klippenstein used to request FOIA from police and govt. departments, and often they would make the similar mistake, manually redacting parts with marker / pen.

So you just take the screenshot and adjust the contrast / brightness to see the redacted part.
