That sounds delicious! We don't have mochi mix here, so I'm a bit jealous. I'd love to see how it turned out.

I'll share a picture when I can! It looks like I'll probably be able to edit one into the post once the issue with uploading is worked out, so hopefully I won't need to repost or anything. I can @ you once that happens, if you'd like?
As for the mix, I think it's honestly mostly rice flour and sugar! This recipe is pretty similar to what I've been doing, but without the mix. If you can't get the rice flour you can make it by just blending rice into a fine powder! Since it's not "sweet" rice flour you might need to add extra sugar to the cake recipe? I'm not 100% sure.
You can try uploading it to another website like Imgur and then applying that link to your post. When I made a submission, it seemed to work perfectly.
I'm going to try blending the rice flour like you said and see if my food processor can handle it. Maybe by tomorrow, I'll be able to try out that recipe. Thanks!
I added an imgur link! It doesn't seem to show a preview in the community feed, but for now that's okay.
Mmm, that looks fantastic. The ground strawberries really pop.
To fix the preview, you could try changing the link to this instead?
🙏 Thank you! I couldn't figure out where to get a direct image link from the imgur page
I never thought about powdered fruit as a topping! I'll definitely have to try this next time I bake!
Yeah! The availability of freeze-dried fruits makes it really easy (although they do suck up humidity from the air over time after you grind them, so you'll want to eat the cake within a couple days 😉)
