Just in case, consider that "costume" has been probably used because that's the word in Ukrainian "ะะพัััะผ" (read almost the same as the English word, but with the accent on the u).
I found funnier when he said, "maybe something better".
I know that. Translating into that is fun, but really his reply is perfect as a whole. Doesn't matter which way it's translated, the meaning is loud and clear.
His "I'm not playing cards" comeback was very strong as well.
They should have made this in Ukrainian as well.
It probably wouldn't be as funny in Ukrainian. In English it sounds like he's mocking Trump's suit as a costume but costume (ะบะพัััะผ) is literally the Ukrainian word for suit. ;)
