A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.

Elder Scrolls Online. I was finally able to get into it, after years of wishing I could like it.
Edit: Also playing on Steamdeck, which may have a hand in my newfound enjoyment.
Is it beginner friendly? I've been looking for a new game to play with a friend
It isn't super beginner friendly, but it isn't as bad as other older MMOs that I have played. If you don't care about the meta, animation canceling, or things like that it's really easy to just enjoy the game. Which I found I couldn't do with WoW.
