Wikipe-tan has been the (cutest) unofficial mascot for Wikipedia since 2006. This manga was posted to PIxiv and Wikipedia in 2010 by Kasuga, where he said this:

二年ぐらい昔に、後輩の合同誌で描いたウィキペたん漫画。 (「ウィキペたん」が何か知らない人は、ウィキペディアで検索だ) こんなもん再利用する人はいないと思いますが、 「クリエイティブ・コモンズ 表示-継承 3.0」のライセンスで配布してます。 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.ja

しかし、この子ってこういうキャラだったんだね。

みんな知ってるけど名前は知らないものってよくあるじゃない

ENG: You know how sometimes you don't know the name of something, but everybody else does?

係船柱!

ENG: That's a bollard!

あれって船を港に係留する柱みたいなものでしょ?だから係船柱!

ENG: You're talking about the pillars in ports that are used to moor ships, right? Those are bollards!

Notice how in Japanese she uses だから because the kanji literally mean "ship mooring pillar", so she says "that's why they're called 係船柱". Obviously that doesn't work in English so I changed it up to make it make sense lol.

ENG: Huh?
