You can get bidets that don't require any permanent modifications. We have had a brondell for years, including several years at an apartment. Just a t junction for the plumbing and an electrical outlet to install it.
Yup, I'll add that it was worth the extra $50 for the Brondell CL99 ($90) over the Bio Bidet Elite3 ($40). The Bio Bidet had leak issues in under a year, while the Brondell is better made, easier to clean, and still going strong.
