Interesting stuff. Maybe covered in your earlier video, but what do you see as some of the immediate applications? I know the poultry industry struggles to keep their stock cool during the Summer and this seems like a great potential solution.

Just want to make clear it's not my video. Just found it really informative and well done. I didn't even have the patience to watch it at 1x speed, let alone do all the work. Epitomizes what I think of as citizen science, and I don't know where that belongs in the lemmyverse. DIY seemed as good as any.

Chicken coop roofs are a good idea. Car window screens, maybe, depending on whether the windshield would just reflect the heat back into the car. Maybe dyeing a fabric to make an awning or umbrella, although I don't think that would need the crystal size control.
