Not surprised in the slightest that all our progress is being taken away. However I feel like trans people are being specifically targeted as the villains and the LGB dont do much to support them unfortunately. As they say a chain is only as strong as the weakest link.

Hell I saw a twitter video of a woman claiming "female erasure" at a pride event being "assaulted" when everyone there just surrounded her and criticized her bullshit. Republicans and religious people flooded the comments with support as if that woman was god herself.

I mean, the LGB community does not have a good track record of supporting the T+ community as far as I know.

This is definitely true. I want to optimistically believe this is changing as cis gay men realize that grooming rhetoric and drag queen/trans legislation affects all queer people equally. We'll see how much the needle moves.

I disagree. Proportianally, most trans allies are also queer, IIRC the biggest trans ally demo (after other trans ppl) is cis lesbians.

I think portraying it as a LGB - T split is something reactionaries trying to do, hence all the "gays against groomers" types being astroturfed by cishet cons. I think most queer ppl know that there's strength in unity and that they are the next (if not even current) target.
