Do you expect every meme to be meticulously handcrafted? It's a stupid joke, not a work of art.

Personally, I just find it annoying, because it's not immediately recognizable as such, especially with this old picture look. Having someone else comment that it's horseshit is certainly appreciated, so I don't have to spend the time finding out whether it's garbage or not.

As soon as I saw it on Facebook I didn't even look closely before deciding it wasn't a sheet folding machine.

Regardless of the crazy dimensions for such a task, I doubt the start of the industrial revolution would be automating this of all things.

Also: "3 sheets per hour".

Also: Posted in "Jokes & Humour".

Yeah, I did figure out that it's not a sheet folding machine pretty quickly. But I thought, it might have been a loom or something. Humanity has certainly built some big looms.

Fair enough but it is not the responsibility of the joker to satisfy your tangential curiosity.

I do appreciate that you are not saying it is. You are merely making whimsical conversation, but the number of upvotes you are getting look like desperately eager anti-AI cultists jumping on board.

I only consume artisanal, organic, whole-grain memes thank you very much.

Of course not. I expect and enjoy them quite visually shoddy, with plenty of lazy editing and jpeg artifacts.

On the other hand, I oppose generative IA from an ethical standpoint and this kills the joke for me. I’ll preemptively say I don’t want to have an in depth debate about this again, so I’ll just kindly ask to anyone genuinely interested about what’s wrong with generative AI to look into it on their own. bee wink emoji

Why don't you just scroll past it next time.

[–] Kedly@lemm.ee 1 points 3 months ago

Lmao, no worries about having to finish a discussion you yourself started, I'll just block you instead

Remember that unless a joke originates in the meme board on 4chan you have to call it a "standardized joke template"

This is as it was written in the Book of the Internet, WWW 78:15.

The Elders of the Internet takes this matter very seriously

A sparkling joke, if you must.

[–] millie 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It's a joke? Did it make you laugh? Why is it funny?

Because I just see AI spam.

The joke is that folding a fitted sheet is hard.

What I see is a whole lot of wooooosh
