»Some people can read War and Peace and come away thinking it's a simple adventure story. Others can read the ingredients on a chewing gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe.« — Lex Luthor

The problem has become omnipresent. Especially in the area of writing. No matter how you write something, it's always taken the wrong way. And I see a lot of parallels between platforms like Twitter or Reddit and Lemmy or Mastodon. The Fediverse itself proudly claims that it is supposedly better than Twitter and others, but they simply can hide better there. What I have observed since StatusNet (GNUsocial) is, especially with the hype around ActivityPub, that the aggression and spreading of hate and smear in the Fediverse can measure up to that on Facebook, Twitter, and so on much more.
If it has not already passed them with it, as what hashtags like this Fediblock spread like a plague and no one wants to realize that such stuff is more harmful to the entire network than it could ever be done by politics-based topics.
Just what the fuck is that supposed to mean?
Hey buddy, can we not be like that to each other?

Ive never had bad experiences with fb, but i only talk to irl friends on fb and everyone is nice.
I know about #fediblock but not much, can you tell me more about the harm it's causing?
