Have you considered he might just have a non-standard gender expression? It doesn't say anything about his gender identity. And even if he someday determines he's not a boy, he might be non binary or agender or genderfluid or any number of other things.

Just apologize for pressuring him, let him figure himself out in his own time.

Thank for sharing your poem, it put a smile on my face :)

Pretty much everything I consume. The main exceptions are canned tomatoes (the store brands are always sourer than I'd like), some cheeses. I used to also buy brand pasta, but ever since my supermarket got its own generic bronze-cut pasta I no longer need to.

When it comes to medicinal products I'm more likely to get a brand version though, e.g when the brand version works better, like with Tiger Balm, or when a generic isn't available.

Tidal's pretty good, they cost the same as spotify but all accounts have access to lossless. The playlists it makes for me are no worse than spotify's and I can sleep happy knowing the artists I listen to get compensated better than on either Spotify or Apple Music.

I also feel the app's design helps me see music in the context of the album it was released in instead of as random tracks, which has made me reconnect with some kinds of music I'd grown apart from after I got Spotify.

Music to my ears. Can't believe how badly creatives are paid in the US, especially given how important they are for the country's soft power.

It's happened to me before, but I would just pluck the feathers. Can't waste meat like that. As annoying as it might be to hear, do remember those chickens were alive before.

You're right, I'll be removing the meme. It was in poor taste.

I chose to post it because of my personal frustration with the turn politics are taking both in my southern European country and in Europe overall.

I come from Greece and in our last elections we had a historically low voter turnout, with mostly conservative and far-right voters showing up. Which lead to a very fascist parliament. And then everyone was surprised with the results, which made me feel "well what were we all expecting when we didn't even show up to vote?".

But I don't really know how the elections went in Italy, so my comment was indeed misplaced.

Putting aside the bitter feelings this makes me feel, this is horrible news. From my experience in my own country, voting as a minority & leftist person feels like fighting the waves these last years... I just keep thinking about when things will take a similar turn to Italy's in other countries too, because it seems like only a matter of time.

I was wondering the exact same thing a few days ago and spent some amount of time googling it.

There's already such a project actually, called Swanye. There seems to be a single person working on it, so if anyone has time to help I'm sure it will be appreciated

Boiled water leaves a residue on the pot, so I always end up halfheartedly washing it

One of my favorite snacks to eat on daytrips are hardboiled eggs. You could bring chili/spice mix packets with you to add flavor on the road (I like buying some labeled as "hot pot mate" from my local chinese market). Not much of a meal by themselves of course, but can be a very filling supplement to something like a sandwich or a salad. Good as in between snacks too.

HRT twitter scam (beaft.tumblr.com)
submitted 2 years ago by strangerloop to c/lgbtq_plus

The linked tumblr post explains in detail a dangerous scam going around twitter's trans community.

A product called "I can't believe it's not estrogen" is being advertised as a natural replacement for estrogen. It is packaged in a trendy, eye-catching way and it is sold as an OTC supplement for people who can't get access to actual HRT.

In reality, it is at best a scam that will never ship and it aims at collecting trans women's personal details in order to harass them later on. At worst, it is a scam that directly aims at physically harming trans women. The substance contained in the advertised pills is ashwagandha, which boosts the production of the hormones your body produces on its own (i.e it would boost T production for a trans woman). Furthermore, the dosage found in these pills increases anxiety levels. If taken for several weeks in a a row, it will cause something called "serotonin syndrome", which will send you to the ER, potentially at death's door.

If you are in queer twitter circles, spread the warning around to keep our community safe.
