I grew up very poor and would budget out the grocery with my mom every week. But we were extremely fortunate and disciplined to have never needed to take out debt. So I’ve always carried that mentality that debt was only for appreciating assets, and if it’s for someone I’m intending to consume, then I can’t afford it.

How much sugar did you add? The preservative here is sugar, and the mechanism of preservation is reducing the water activity so much that nothing else can grow. The resulting sugar jelly should be much denser than the fruit.
If you fruit sinks, the specific gravity of the jam might not be high enough.

Exactly, when these reviews are essentially commodified, the reviewers themselves aren’t generating a lot of value for the companies. It has completely lost the edge to YouTube and streaming reviewers.
