Like the other reply said, Lineage doesn't do a whole lot in terms of degoogling. I quite enjoy DivestOS, it's a project that takes Lineage as a base and strips out as much Google and proprietary code as possible.
In fact, it's so Google-free that neither sandboxed Play Services nor MicroG are officially supported, though the latter can still be installed and used just fine, though with a few drawbacks.

Same as Lineage, it runs on more devices, but certain features like bootloader relocking depend on the phone.

Fair point, you have to check what makes the most sense for you. Good example would be stuff like 3D rendering, where modern hardware would be several times as fast as my current PC, while using the same amount of power, or even less

Enotria: The Last Song, it's a soulslike set in colourful Italy, basically. Has some interesting mechanics for how builds and loadouts work.

Though I wasn't able to play through the entire demo because I'm starved for video memory

Yeah. And I bet most, if not all of them would've been a lot happier with that feature. It makes things so much easier, so much more flexible.

It's 2024 and GIMP will only now be getting the ability to do non-destructive editing through adjustment layers. It has been fine for many simple tasks, but for anything that's more complex than a Lemmy shitpost, it's been rough for that reason alone

It's definitely more convoluted, but uBlock Origin can also selectively block pretty much anything, really. That being said, whatever tool you use, blocking any third party stuff per default is always a good start, to see how well any given site can work without it. Tells you a lot already

I recently discovered Image Toolbox, it has the best editing capabilities of any FOSS Android app I've seen so far. That being said, if developing RAWs is something you need as well, I don't think there exists anything besides Google's Snapseed and Lightroom mobile.

As for taking pictures, I quite enjoy OpenCamera, but there's not much else than that.

There exists a frontend called Proxitok, but I can't comment on how well it works or what it can do. The LibRedirect addon for Firefox can redirect you to the instance of your choosing.

Great addon in general, do check it out if you don't know it already.

I still don't get how cramming 108MP on this tiny of a sensor is going to help anyone with anything

Alt text:

The image shows a still from the movie Inglorious Basterds, framing the character Hugo Stieglitz looking absolutely annoyed and fed up with the game of Who Am I? that is being played. His head is replaced with that of a goldfinch, which in Germany is commonly known as the Stieglitz, and he has a card on his forehead that says Marco Polo

So you know how sometimes your brain remembers a post you saw and doesn't let you rest until you've found it again?

Well, a few days ago I looked through wlw/lesbian/sapphic memes, and there was this one cute drawing of a strong, tall woman in the first panel going sth like:

Hey, look what I can do!, as she crushes a watermelon with her thighs.

The other woman, seen in the next panel, just stands there, frozen in place, being all😳, with watermelon squirting in her face.

This image tickled my brain the right way, and I need it back🙈

Can you help me? I'm offering to put you between my strong thighs as a reward.

  • [x] Blahaj Lemmy transition
  • [ ] medical transition
  • [ ] social transition
  • [ ] legal transition

Jokes aside though, while I'm struggling to find therapists for an official diagnosis (which I need for hrt to happen) I unexpectedly got an appointment with an endocrinologist already.

While that won't get me anywhere in the foreseeable future, it's still nice to have this first talk, and get all the important things out of the way ahead of time.

So, what are some important infos I should give them?

  • Medical history: Past illnesses and diagnoses, known allergies, medication I take
  • My personal goals, what I wish to achieve
  • How does my current day to day life look in terms of physical fitness and mental health

And what are some important questions I should ask them?

  • Potential risks and side effects
  • Does any of the info I gave them conflict with hrt
  • What changes can I expect, and how quickly
  • How often should I have follow-up appointments for which purpose, either twith them or with my GP
  • Where do I go to freeze some of my genderfluid, in case I want to have biological children one day
  • How would a change in calorie intake affect the changes hrt introduces (primarily in terms of fat gain)
  • Are there any lifestyle changes I should make to ensure everything will go as smoothly as possible
  • What support resources are available for further questions that may go beyond endocrinology expertise

Do any of you lovely ladies have anything to add?
I want to make the most out of this first appointment even if it won't make the whole process go forward by much.

At least everything will be taken care of by the time I'm officially allowed to take E.
