From the funding aspect, that makes sense. From a user perspective, I always found Gold (or especially any of the other rewards) quite distracting. Being human, my eye is drawn to the metals along with the judgment that came with it, like this must be a good quality well-received post before even reading it. Often, it was just a joke though or some popular opinion without too much depth. I really hope Lemmy does not incorporate rewards for this reason.

I like the hexagon, matches the community icon shapes :) I'll surely miss the old logo, but that might just be(e) my human nature of resistance to change
I've been soo looking forward to this! I completely forgot the last couple months so this came by surprise, I'm excited to update!
What is this snap drama? It has been many years since I looked into Ubuntu.
I'm having difficulty subscribing. It just says Pending. I've read this has something to do with the server not responding? I'm not too sure, it's been like this for many days now, even trying again it stays Pending.
It's funny to think that Google Hangouts had this feature a while back. It's more than just putting effort into features; it's also implementing similar features into multiple apps at different points in time.
Just want to double check, but what date will this be happening? Will it be on 4 July? It might help to clarify in the title with the date in addition to time.
Pardon my ignorance on the history of this, but who was Victoria? Was Victoria a moderator of the subreddit or an admin of Reddit or something?
Yeah the RTD bottles are quite pricey. I do like them but cannot justify the cost. Personally, I prepare the powdered stuff, better value.
What peertube instance did you sign up for? I've always been interested but none have struck me as a place I would want to sign up at.
I have heard of peertube as a fediverse-based alternative, but I have not heard of anybody actually talk about really using it.
Rationally, I know I should be unhappy with the acquisition. But a part of me is hopeful that this will bring back Blizzard as we fondly remember it before the Activision acquisition, or at least partially.
