They are really quite good. I like Nuggs too. I figure if we're going to eat junk food it may as well not come from factory farmed chickens.

I switched to Yellowbird sriracha, it's a little sweeter but otherwise fine. No desire to go back to huy fong after hearing about what they did to their suppliers.

#2 May be explained by mens' sports being given more support wrt to training/coaches/funding/etc. Here is an interesting article about it: https://www.theatlantic.com/culture/archive/2022/09/sports-gender-sex-segregation-coed/671460/

Using some prepared ingredients like already marinated chicken or precut veggies can help if you have a small kitchen. Also things like frozen pizza and bag salad is great when you don't feel like cooking and much cheaper than takeout. As far as meal planning I decide what I want to cook for the week and write it on a whiteboard on my fridge.

You can always run a windows VM on your linux computer. I used to do that when I had to use citrix receiver for work.

You gotta do what you gotta do. It's hard even when you're not trying to get them to sleep too because they are horrible little people when they're exhausted. I think the anti-sleep training crew leave that part out a lot.

It's old but my absolute favorite sci-fi anime is Gunbuster/Top o Nerae! (Aim for the Top! in English).

Internet communities are good for not feeling alone if you don't have a local village but I would take anything they say with a very large grain of salt. Every baby/child is different and what works for some will not work for others. There is no gospel, trust yourselves and find a good pediatrician. That said I enjoy yummytoddlerfood and curious.parenting on Instagram. Healthychildren.org is a good resource for milestones/general baby questions.

#1 Use crunchy #2 Put it on something heartier than crêpes. Delicate flavors won't stand up to peanut butter.

Starting out parenting with perhaps the spiciest parent topic. Bold! For what it's worth our kid slept at night fairly easy but we did have to sleep train for naps. She would just scream and scream even if you were holding rocking shushing whatever. We finally gave up at 3 years old, she would just destroy things in her room when we attempted quiet time.

I was talking to my husband about something political in the car and I said sarcastically "Who could have foreseen?" and then a tiny reply came from the back seat "Who could have four beans?!"
