You using intel or apple silicon?
I’ve used Manjaro on my desktop for a while. Something died in it (I think the motherboard) and I haven’t had the time to take. Few days and fix it.
I do use macOS on my laptop so I do use some form of bsd/nix.
No proton support for them?

I still do have the non fediverse equivalents though. Im the most tech savvy among my friends so they still use those.

I have an Apple Watch so I use the Apple fitness app. Back in my android days just used the Samsung fitness and the google equivalent.
From what I remember MKBHD started with just his laptop, built in web cam and I think windows movie maker. you don't need to have a Red 8k, high end system, lighting and the whole enchilada.
Any pro editing app is gonna need substantial GPU and CPU performance.
