I love windwaker. It’s one of my all time favorites!

Wanted to take a moment and welcome all the new subscribes to the community. At the time of writing this there are more than 1,500 members!

Is anyone interested in helping moderate this community? If so, send me a private message and we can have a discussion. I know if the community continues to grow I will need assistance.

Hello all,

Introducing Game Club! Where as a community we can play-though a game together and then discuss it.

I'll keep voting open until the end of the month and then post the results so everyone knows what we are playing.

Towards the end of July I will start a post to discuss what we all thought.

As this is the first time we are doing this, feedback is welcome.

Edit: I'm still learning this site. The Link is next to the title on google forms.

Thats a good suggestion. Keeps the conversation going.

For weekly discussions - would you suggest a rolling list of platforms? Or just a random pick?

I think “new games” for older generations certainly apply in this community. Retro just implies not the latest generation (or even the few latest generations). So GBC is 100% retro. Just my opinion.

I’ll have to grab the .pocket file and check it out!

I don’t think the app has those features yet.

Wanted to take a moment and welcome all the new subscribes to the community. At the time of writing this there are 711 subscribes in RetroGaming.

In addition, I wanted to ask what types of things we could do as a community to keep us engaged? Suggestions are welcome.

One suggestion I have would be a "game of the month". We would all take some time, play the same game, and then all chat about it together on this community.

I’ll definitely make a post about the MK4. Shipped yesterday. I’m excited!

I understand. But, I do have to say that it’s a wonderful product.

Likely Hogwarts Legacy. I’m probably like 80% of the way though.

Has anyone reached out to Christian about repurposing Apollo as a lemmy client? I’d be willing to pay for the app again. Certainly there would be a lot of work for him on the backend, but I would imagine the front end of the app could be repurposed.

I have multiple machines. Windows 10 on my gaming PC, a MacBook Pro, a few Linux machines running some servers, windows 11 on my work laptop. Is it not normal to jump around on different OSs?

I’m in the same situation. Playing though tears of the kingdom. Really need to finish it up so I can move on to other games.

I’ve always named my town popcorn. Been playing since the GameCube. I suppose as a kid, I just picked something random. But now that’s the name my towns must have.

What are some home automation projects you have been working on? Recently I setup a counter for when the sump pump runs, and an alert if the pump gets stuck on.

Here is my 3D Printing Setup. Anyone else on Lemmy Interested in 3D printing?

Thought I would start a thread and get some traction for this community. What are some of your favorite retro games? My favorite is Super Mario Bros 3.
