Other than this workaround, I don't know. Maybe contact the admins of your instance and see if they know a way of fixing it.

It's a known bug or at least it happens often.
Interacting with the community like upvoting something, clicking "create a post" and returning can fix this most of the time. I'd assume it will be fixed with the next update.
Yeah, devs like these have the perfect kind of skills considering UI/UX developement to get this done well.
I think it'll take some time until these apps become that andvanced. Most lemmy apps are in a pretty early stage of developement and still highly WIP.
Some third party reddit apps seem to be planning on moving to lemmy, so maybe we'll see something better coming around the corner in the near future.
Come on now...
I also strongly disagree with what this user says and I get your anger, but is it really necessary to be insulting? I feel like simply downvoting and otherwise ignoring it would be healthier for this community at large.
Let's not make this place like reddit or any bigger social network, please.
Yep, that's what I meant by "older version".
Good idea. Kind of like guerilla-marketing.
Same here. We'll have to wait until our instances update their servers to v0.18.
We'll have to use a browser or a different client until then.
No way, it's definitely video games. Much easier to blame than to actually change stuff. /s
