I've got a brand new intel nuc 12th gen i7, 4070 graphics, 32 gig ram, Samsung 990 hard drive.

Cost me a pretty penny, and a lot of time to put together. Not to mention all the time spent researching parts and agonising over choices. Then the wait times for deliveries and redeliveris of the orders I messed up (had to return ram twice, once because I accidentally ordered the wrong ones, and once became a stock was faulty).

Eventually have everything set up.

So of course I'm using it to play ksp1.

It's been decades since I last played a civ game, and never played multiplayer, but I thought they had a version of this?

I was much younger then and only interested in battles and spectacle, so never tried them, but I do remember other victory conditions beyond kill everyone else.

Does the Ally work as a standard PC if you plug in a mouse+kb? I've heard steam deck can do that.

Looking to replace my ancient PC, which is slowly dying. Cyberpunk, Diablo 4, and Baldurs Gate 3 are the big games I'm looking to play. If you factor in my huge backlog, anything that cam run those 3 smoothly could last me years.

My office space is tiny, a small shelf and the smallest desk IKEA had. Currently thinking of an intel nuc, but I kinda like the sound of a portable I can play on the train into work or a coffee shop. If it can double as a low paper desktop, ot may be a winner.

I've picked it up at the last steam sale, but not gotten around to playing it yet.

Search and Rescue game. I'm not really a pacifist, I don't have a problem with violence in games. But it would he nice to have an action game that didn't involve slaughtering endless waves of mooks for a change.

There's plenty of adrenaline, skill and gear porn to be had in the genre, so why don't we see more of it?

Playing Curse of Strahd.

Lv 7 Half elf trickery cleric. Backstop is he came from a human dominated city. His father fell in love with an elf, they had kids. But, they faced a lot of bigotry and he ended up growing up in poverty. Fell into the criminal lifestyle, becoming a smuggler until a job went bad and he was left for dead. Rescued by a member of a temple to Tymora, started to turn his life around when he woke up in Bovoria.

Character is fun as hell to play. Was originally meant to be a throwaway for a one shot. All I knew was there would be a warlock and a wizard. Wanted something that could stand in the front line, heal, and pick locks. Abused Tashas guide and half elves to start with 16 dex and wisdom, and shortsword proficiency. Very broken strong for levels 1-3.

Ended up liking the character and group so much I retconned in a backstory. We were joined by a warrior and a rogue, then converted to a full campaign. And the wizard turned out to be a warwizard/rogue multiclass, so a lot of my build choices ended up a little redundant.

The powerlevel has tailed off somewhat as we level. He's no twilight levels of OP. But he's still a cleric at the end of the day, which is a solid core no matter how you cut it. I can cast mirror image and spirit guardians, join the warrior and wizard, or some buffs and hang back with the rogue and warlock, dependong on my mood or who cant make to a game.

Our warrior is dex based instead of str, so we are an extremely stealth heavy group. No one has a stealth skill lower than +4, and then I can saat pass without trace.

And it's fun to rp trickery domain. I was a little worried cleric would be too righteous and stuffy for my tastes. But his god means I've no issue with the warlock, and instead of taking issue with the rogue stealing things, I instead actively encourage her, so long as she learns how to pick the right targets.

Would recommend to anyone.
