Typing this from WefWef. I love it so far.
Probably will test out Artemis and Memmy as well.
That makes more sense now. I was really lost around all these different servers and Reddit experience had spoilt me because it was so centralized by construct that I came in here expecting the same!
Thanks @DidacticDumbass@lemmy.one
Just as a follow up to your comment - is there a link or something where one can see how many different Lemmy communities exist? I'd be up for casting the net wide like you said and right now I am mostly hanging around lemmy one.
Will there be a version of the app for iOS?
Thanks very much! I will download the beta app and test it out. If I have any suggestions or bugs to report, where should I be sharing them?
It feels like the start of something new, you know? Sort of exciting because coming from Reddit to Lemmy feels like taking a leap of faith as we are looking for this place to replace what we have lost. At the end of the day, communities are what make or break a platform and we have that going.
In terms of the platform itself, I am still trying to figure my way around here but the UI/UX feels easy to interact with. I guess I would love to have a mobile app for iOS down the line to replace my addiction to Apollo!
7 year 10 month long on Reddit and only ever used Apollo and previously Alien Blue until Spez decided to kill the joy out of both. Never posted much on reddit either. Happy to be here with everyone and contribute to Lemmy!
RIP Apollo. Was truly a ride.
Currently using wefwef and Memmy to browse lemmy via mobile. Wefwef feels closest to Apollo but Memmy has a better interface.
Also subbed to Winston on Reddit, the dev is actively responding to suggestions and aiming to release an app as close as possible like Apollo for browsing reddit. Then of course there’s also Narwhal.
