MODERATOR OF

definitely agree. I don't control our host's policy but i will pass that along. some bot traffic is allowed- we were on the join-lemmy site two days ago and i have a bot running this very minute- i think they're still just trying to dial in the right balance between two much and not enough security

are manual additions allowed? our host's security blocks some bot traffic and is currently not playing nicely with the stats crawler

the mod we never asked for but desperately needed

this is my first real experience with wildfire haze and i gotta tell ya, not a fan

these are fantastic, well done!

I'm running See You Space Cowboy tomorrow and then playing in a fantasy hack of it on Thursday. sure is easy keeping track of mechanics that way! i've also got a copy of Blueholme (holmes basic dnd retroclone) i'm dying to run eventually

The Steam version of Sonic Adventure is a bad port of a bad port, but just downloading the mod manager itself undoes one of those bads and the Dreamcast Conversion mod undoes the other, and that's not even getting into the crazy stuff people have done like hack Klonoa and their mechanics into the game

if you have a few members may as well keep it open, we all benefit from variety

I can tell you that the api itself can be found at instance.com/api/v3/, and that you can for example get recent posts with instance.com/api/v3/post/list, and you can replace post with community or comment to get the same, but I learned that much from error messages messing with lemmy-js-client. unfortunately i don't think the raw http api is posted anywhere

I'm very envious of people who were able to grow up with BBSes. I caught the very tail end of the phpBB/MyBB days but this seems like a whole 'nother level. it's nice to know they're still kicking though- one of these days i'll finally get a network cart and join the fray

Breath of the Wild was already one of my favorite games so i've really been enjoying it. I've only finished one dungeon and now I'm just doing as much zonaite farming as I can to max out my batteries

A PCB to put a raspberry pi compatible board into a Gameboy SP shell is now available for preorder. As you might have guessed from the url, they previously did the same for the Game Gear. Very cool stuff that gives dead consoles or aftermarket parts another use. I'd love for them to do something with the Nomad someday so we can get full six-button controls, although I imagine that's a much harder case to track down!

A Quick Look At The Neo Geo Pocket Link Cable (www.thedreamcastjunkyard.co.uk)

Interesting read, although it's a shame it was basically only ever used for trading currency and exp in fighting games. The GBA-GCN link cable got some more interesting uses (I betcha the Tiny Chao Garden is a recycled form of Sonic Pocket Adventure's cut Sonic Adventure 2 connectivity) and then the Wii U took that idea to the extreme but we all know how that ended. Are there any games you wish had console/handheld connectivity or any ideas you wish were tried with it?
