I've been in the same boat, wondering if it will just be more stress.

Thanks for hosting! Will definitely stay tuned for donation information!
So far, I'm loving Lemmy. Some of my favorite subreddits exist as communities already and I'm going to try to make them better. There are still a few features I miss, multireddits and post/content search(more of a Jerboa issue). There are also some issues I see as causes for concern, for example the fracturing of communities due to duplicate communities existing on different servers. Overall, I'm hopeful Lemmy will be a good replacement for the alien site though. Let's make it better than what we left!
This sounds like what I have Home Assistant for.
Finally fixed this. It turns out hassos won't boot from a hard drive when you have it plugged into the 3.0 ports.
Haha. Great Minds, I guess. I'm trying to switch TO an RPI4. I love the docker version, but I want better uptime and addons. Eventually, I want to move to a Yellow, but the CM4s are still so hard to find at the moment. Just ordered a SkyConnect too. Gotta see how that shakes out.
I got HAOS installed on the RPI4, but the thing won't connect to my network for some reason. Using POE an due need to troubleshoot.
Just waiting for Boost to join this crowd too. It was a good run, but those fees will kill all the third party clients eventually.
For one, there's everything they did to CentOS after they bought it.
I'm on OS TW as well and I've been loving it. It's exactly what I wanted after being on Manjaro for so long. Rock solid and SUUUPER up to date. I love not having to wait for updates. It's also my first experience with BTRFS and snapper and restoring from backups has been a breeze.
Not sure about the specific version of shutoff they're using there, but I will say to be careful of buying the cheap ones off Amazon. Some of the cheap ones don't have the torque necessary to actually shut off the water. I'd take a look at Paul Hibbert's videos on YouTube. He just covered one of these that looked pretty good.
