The Romans incorporated gods and myths from other cultures (most famously Greece) into their own pantheon.

Heracles > Hercules Zeus > Jupiter Ares > Mars

I can only speak to the experience on PC, but it's pretty good now. You might have some occasional bugs but nothing worse than you'd expect from a Bethesda game

The way guard 2's first line is worded could be interpreted as him saying "the other (guard says) nothing but lies", meaning he's saying guard 1 is the liar which is a lie.
