In the end, the goal should never be "lets get rid of every single car", but rather "lets shift from a Car-centric design, to a active transportation & healthy living-centric design"
In the end, we will always need a way to sort content. that could be from engagement, comments, or some kind of Karma system.
Its just unfortunate that that was then tied back into your account.
i mean, in the same way a turtle needs its shell, and you need your bones. Its not something you can just "take off"

its a funny hybrid model, since i can subscribe to communities outside of my primary instance, and vote, comment, ect on them!
and im willing to pay for API access. If Reddit started charging me a buck or two i would be ok with that. I recognize that servers are not free, and their profit has to come from somewhere.
But charging app devs $20,000,000 a year is NOT the solution.
i loved the OSRS subreddit, and some of the other, small fun subreddits.
I still hope we get a comprimise, at least for long enough to naturally grow an alternative.
Definitly need to call the police on this one.
