From what I've gathered, the admins intend to keep the community list limited so that there is more participation within the current ones. You can always request a new one; however, from this post https://beehaw.org/post/507164 they mention new communities won't likely be created until July 1st.
SaintPaul
It gave you 700 tokens a month. So you could give out awards to posts. It also removed ads. But I used Apollo and old.reddit(don’t know if ads are placed here) so it didn’t exactly benefit me much.
My entire medicine cabinet. I get anxious I’m going leave the house and have a stomach ache, or a cough from allergies, or something else unforeseen. So, I have tums and nauzenes, ibuprofen, allergies meds, cough syrup, eye drops, band aids, and other random stuff. I may as well toss a tourniquet and gauze and dressings in there while I’m at it.
I cancelled my Reddit premium today. I was hesitant because I was in the $30/yr and didn’t want to get rid of that pricing since it’s $50 now. But I’m liking the fediverse and the quirks that comes with it. Will cancelling make an impact? Probably not. But I’d rather not support them if they’re not going to give me a choice on which app I use.
I’ve been working all day. The good news is that todays been going very fast. Some days seem to drag on and on. I’m excited to be home though. I started playing Horizon Zero Dawn last night which I look forward to continuing. I’m also learning Spanish so I’m excited to study that a bit too. Only thing I need to figure out is what’s for dinner..
Look into getting a USB-C flash drive and transfer the photos to that. You can find a 128gb drive for $15.
I don’t think I’ll ever be so invested in a forum that I could post over 200 posts per day
This resonates with me. Whenever I’m posting I ask myself, “is this contributing to the discussion?” If the answer is no, I won’t post anything. The old forums that had a comment count under a username made me want to increase that so I posted on every post. I feel this lead to a lot of unnecessary and dull engagement.
Time well spent. Get some rest now! We appreciate the hard work.
Love the story. I’m glad you mentioned this because when I joined Beehaw it gave me a lot of nostalgia about those old forums in the early 2000s.
I feel that. I’m currently back on the ARAM kick. It’s dangerous because games are so quick that playing one more ends up consuming my day off.
OutOfTheLoop would be amazing. Sometimes I just want a TLDR of a current topic.
