ProtonDB is a better measurement for what will run correctly whereas "playable" vs "verified" has more to do with more tangential issues such as the text is the readable on a tiny screen or it doesn't use the mouse, etc.

In my mind ProtonDB is more reliable than playable but to your point, the number of times there's meaningful disagreement between the two at this stage is so low given almost everything is running wrt my library to render it a moot point

That's more LA than the full state. Living in SF, for example, doesn't require a car (though has its own share of problems, like all places)

Air conditioning and swimming pools

Well that's deeply disappointing yet sadly not all that surprising.

My beef with them is it gives a comment an artificially high "vote" which tends to dominate the discussion (people feel it's a higher quality comment point), even if the content on its own doesn't merit it.

It's the poor people who will suffer. Clearly they aren't human enough to spend money on, amiright? /s

I hear what you're saying. While golf does have a significant amount of raw muscularity into it (just take a look on average drive distances: for example where men typically average out about 60 yards further) and might make some sense separated out, skill sports where dexterity and control play the only role seem to me to be fair cross genders.

Precision shooting is a good example where the divide doesn't make a lot of sense.

What a treat. As a child of those times, Doom has a special place in my heart and is a blast to replay, especially with a modern engine.

Weather in the DC area has brutalized my produce; I'll be lucky to get much of anything this year. Enjoy them for me!

I have never seen a case study on how to run a company into the ground as effectively as Elon's tenure at Twitter.

The rub is the shorter gaming sessions, which as a parent of young children I know all too well. Complex games lose their thread if you're away from them too long and since it sounds like you want a pick up and play/ put down for awhile relationship with it, I probably would err toward No Man Sky of the bunch. Another poster suggested Hades which is an even better choice if you aren't married to first person games.

If you liked Skyrim and are looking for a similar fix, don't sleep on the Fallout series, especially New Vegas.

Sounds like my type of read! Epub or kindle would be great!
