I pronounce it "say-tuh"

I use Sayonara. Not my screnshot, I usually have the spectogram open on the left cause I think it looks cool lol. Sometimes I use VLC if I just want to listen to a particular thing quickly.

On mobile I usually use Gelli to stream my music library from my Jellyfin server on my desktop.

I had audio issues too and fixed them by adding %command% -sdlaudiodriver pipewire to the launch options.

Glad to finally see translation without the need for an extension. I need to translate pages semi regularly but I try not to install many extensions to avoid fingerprinting.

No worries. Personally, the only reason I would want sole ownership of a piece of music would be to release it freely to as many people as possible.

Wu-Tang Clan made an album back in 2015, only one copy of the album was ever made and it isn't available digitally. The album was originally sold for $2 million, before it was seized by the US government and resold for $4 million to settle debt.

If I were to somehow come into ownership of something like this, I would work to somehow release it to the public (like the current owner is). I don't like the idea of hoarding art for myself.

I'm confused about what exactly you're asking. Are you asking what is the maximum we would spend on a piece of music, like an album or a song? Or are you asking what is the maximum we would spend to be the sole owner of a piece of music?

[–] MutatedBass 1 points 1 year ago

Huh, that's pretty cool, I didn't know that.

If I owned an EV I would be too worried about battery degradation caused by the extra charge cycles to participate in anything like this.

Here's a script from GPT4:

#!/bin/bash

# Create a temporary file for storing file checksums
tempfile=$(mktemp)

# Generate MD5 checksums for all files in the current directory and its sub-directories
find . -type f -exec md5sum '{}' \; | sort > $tempfile

# Detect and delete duplicates
awk 'BEGIN {
    lasthash = "";
    lastfile = "";
}
{
    if ($1 == lasthash) {
        print "Deleting duplicate file: " $2;
        system("rm -f \""$2"\"");
    } else {
        lasthash = $1;
        lastfile = $2;
    }
}' $tempfile

# Clean up
rm -f $tempfile

This script can be run with Termux from the root of your internal storage. Usually /sdcard or /storage/emulated/0. Do not confuse this with running from root if you are rooted.

Before using a script that interacts with your files you should backup anything that is important just in case.

Furthermore, if you comment out:

system("rm -f \""$2"\"");

By adding a # in front of it like this:

# system("rm -f \""$2"\"");

You can run the script and see what files the script would delete without actually deleting them. I would recommend doing this as I have not tested this script.

It isn't open source, though.

I'm waiting for patches, mods, and a sale before playing Starfield, but it did get me thinking about space games, which led me to purchase KSP. I'm really loving it. I used to play a game called Spaceflight Simulator until the dev fucked over the entire player base that supported him since his game released. That game was basically the same concept as KSP in sandbox mode but in 2D. Making the jump to 3D graphics/physics has been really cool, and I'm glad to have filled the hole in my heart SFS left.

Awesome! Same here actually, played the original when it came out and this is my first time playing through Scholar. Far out, I'm trying out my first sorcerry build, and usually default to str. Subclassing dex so I can use short blades in my off hand

In an attempt to broaden my horizons I will be listening to an album I have never heard before every day for the next 100 days. I thought it would be fun to post some information about the album alongside my personal thoughts on it. Maybe you can use these threads to discover new music, too. Or if you're familiar with a day's album, maybe you can share your thoughts and recommendations.

Fun Facts

The guitar in this album is played by Pete Cosey. Cosey played with a wide range of artists over his multi-decade career.

This album features remakes and reimaginings of some of Muddy Waters' earlier acoustic songs, and a cover of Let's Spend The Night Together by The Rolling Stones.

The album recieved mixed reviews from fans and critics.

Personal Thoughts

I don't know what to say about this album, it's not that it's a bad piece, it isn't, I guess I just prefer the older versions of these songs. Cosey does an amazing job on guitar, and Waters' vocals sound great, I guess it's just a personal preference. Despite this my favorite track was I Just Want To Make Love To You.

Any big fans of Muddy Waters in here? What do you think about these songs compared to the originals?

Fun Facts

This album was retitled to "Wonderful World, Beautiful People" from "Jimmy Cliff" in 1970 by A&M Records. This was probably done to capitalize on the poularity of the song by the same name.

Richard Polak is credited with the photography for this album sleeve (I believe the first image) and many others for Island Records.

Personal Thoughts

The positive, uplifting vibe of these tracks was a great way to start the day. I think this would be a good album to listen to on the way home from work to reset your mind, or while just enjoying a relaxing day off.

This is the first time I've listened to any Jimmy Cliff, it seems he released a lot of music over the years so I'm excited to go over some more of it.

My favorite track was Use What I Got.

Can anyone recommend any other classic reggae?

Personal Thoughts

I have a somewhat busy day so I selected a short EP for today. Yellow Days was recently recommended to me by a friend, so I thought Harmless Melodies would be perfect for a day like this. From the ethereal lyrics to the sweet reverberation I thoroughly enjoyed this EP top to bottom and would strongly recommend it. My favorite track was Your Hand Holding Mine.

If you have heard this EP before, or check it out now, I'd love to hear what you thought, because personally I can't wait to check out more Yellow Days.
