In an attempt to broaden my horizons I will be listening to an album I have never heard before every day for the next 100 days. I thought it would be fun to post some information about the album alongside my personal thoughts on it. Maybe you can use these threads to discover new music, too. Or if you're familiar with a day's album, maybe you can share your thoughts and recommendations.

Fun Facts

This album was retitled to "Wonderful World, Beautiful People" from "Jimmy Cliff" in 1970 by A&M Records. This was probably done to capitalize on the poularity of the song by the same name.

Richard Polak is credited with the photography for this album sleeve (I believe the first image) and many others for Island Records.

Personal Thoughts

The positive, uplifting vibe of these tracks was a great way to start the day. I think this would be a good album to listen to on the way home from work to reset your mind, or while just enjoying a relaxing day off.

This is the first time I've listened to any Jimmy Cliff, it seems he released a lot of music over the years so I'm excited to go over some more of it.

My favorite track was Use What I Got.

Can anyone recommend any other classic reggae?
