Hello fellow watch nerds and enthusiasts! I just picked up my first Hamilton, and am positively chuffed. I never really understood the allure of Hamilton, as I for whatever reason thought these were cheaply made or wouldn’t be worth it. Well after coming to a point where I wanted a field watch, I figured I would give Hamilton a try since they are the go to field watch brand. So I began my search, I have plenty of black dial watches so the Murph was out for me. I also wanted a mechanical version so it wouldn’t take up a slot on my winder. Anyway I found this absolutely stunning automatic silver sunburst dial on the secondary market for $300. I couldn’t resist and damn I’m glad I didn’t. I love the look and feel of it on my wrist. What are some of your experiences with Hamilton?
Skx009 (pepsi) would’ve came with a blue dial, so this it could’ve originally been a skx007. Either way it definitely has an aftermarket bezel. I originally thought the hands looked wrong, but I take it back after comparing to mine. But another thing is your lugs look polished, and should be brushed, but it could’ve been polished at some point as well. It’s also hard to tell off just one picture…it may be a modded skx007. At first glance when I typed my original reply I could tell it was not an skx009.
