And it's gonna suck for most of us in a lot of ways. Like I moved up north partially because of politics back in 2014. Now some are eventually gonna follow and move up here as well. Plus, I can't afford a house. A lot of people can't afford one. But when more and more people come, we won't have enough. Unless we see some real, meaningful changes in the way we handle housing, it's gonna be a shit show.

I was talking to my mom back in I think 2020 and the subject of the cost of a home came up. I told her how much they are here, and she said me and my boyfriend should move near her and some other family in St Louis. While I would love to be near family, I'm gay. I'm not moving to a red state. And I'm not looking to buy a house I will eventually need to abandon with no one buying it. That's a lot of money to just lose.

I don't remember which forum I was on, but it was around the late 2000s. Me and some people were joking around, the subject of wrestling came up, someone asked what Triple H's name stood for, so a bunch of us started making fake answers. I really like one that I said, so I just made it my user name. Haven't really felt the need to change it since.

So you have fascist Republicans on the far right

And somewhat fascist democrats who are right of center

Guess as a leftist I'm good then. Seems to me like we have a right wing problem. But even then, only one of the parties is pushing for genocide

I'll probably stick with my current one for now, but if they start opening up and bring their future phones to the US , I might consider switching over. Depends on the specs, but the idea of being able to just get a new battery once the old one starts dying is a major plus.

You can't tolerate fascism. To tolerate that and let genocide happen is to be a piece of shit as well.

"When a Nazi is a Nazi, don't come crying to us who support the Nazis"

It is a protected class

The first amendment is the thing you're missing with all of this. People can discriminate against gay people. But only if it takes away their first amendment. The courts ruled that art should not be forced. So they don't have to serve gay people. But if someone is selling a car, that has nothing to do with art.

There's a huge difference between having food to eat

And having millions of dollars doing nothing

Or me living in an apartment

And someone living in a building that could take up a whole city block

It's not the fact that they have money. It's how they get it and what they do with it.

I have money, but I don't have enough to save. I don't make enough to do much outside of maybe buy a small amount of food for a homeless person. I'm not solving shit. However, living in the city I have had people ask for some change, and I've done it. But I can't do shit.

However, there are people who can actually help that won't. They get more money than they need and then just sit on it. Many of them get it through exploiting others.

But if we want to ignore things scaling and just reach, if I give a homeless person a dollar, should he not share that?

Pretty much. Guess I should have Saud "work on the problems." Like we could be trying to do better, and instead of working on the things that got us to this point, a lot of them were left alone. And instead the plan is to work on blocking out the sun.

Yes, it's obviously more complex. And yes, there has been a bigger push for green energy. But we could be forcing even more change instead of this

If this is what we are aiming for instead of just fixing the things causing the problems

Then maybe we should just consider letting global warming do its thing.

Less "calling for", and more so realizing that a lot of regimes in the world only got taken care of through people rising up. Sometimes violence has been needed, and that can be shown throughout this countries history.

So while not as likely to happen, glad to see someone trying to do something about it
