That's been my impression of it as well. I'm also playing Haiku and Blasphemous from the same bundle

Link's Awakening DX was the first game I picked up on my Gameboy color. Didn't know anything about it, it just looked cool. Didn't learn it was part of a series until I saw advertisements for OoT.

If you're still considering, I've put a couple hours into both games at this point.

I'm really enjoying Haiku. The gameplay is solid and feels similar to hollow knight, though probably not as good yet. I like how the abilities are all flavored around you being a robot, e.g. you unlock wall jumping after installing magnets in your feet. The visual design is also very clear and cohesive, and I personally like the look.

Lone Fungus is decent. It's not very challenging yet, but it seems like they will be incorporating your movement abilities into navigation and combat much more than Haiku. I'm disappointed that so far none of the abilities are related to being a mushroom, you just run and jump around hitting things with a sword.

I'm looking forward to playing through both games as well as Rain World and Blasphemous.

Definitely understandable, and their free tier is pretty limited

For new projects I start with Google docs. If I remain interested in it, then I migrate it over to World Anvil

My D&D group has been playing 5e Dungeon of the Mad Mage since 2018, probably averaging a session once a month.

More recently I picked up the Cortex Prime Handbook and have been having fun putting together hacks. We're just about ready to try out a light-weight Harry Potter inspired one. I'm also playing around with a Pokemon hack and a more complex hack for a home-brew SciFi setting.

I hadn't either, but I have them downloaded now so I'll give them a try

Combination of PC and Steam Deck, depending on the game, as well as Retro Arch on my phone for the occasional Pokemon ROM hack during my lunch break

You're welcome, enjoy! They're both great games!

Humble Bundle currently has an offer for some Metroidvania games. I picked it up but already had a couple of them, so I'm giving those Steam keys away. If you redeem it, please comment so I don't try to give it away again.
