I'm in agreement with everyone about the Corsair/Pirate job (though I think they'd lean Corsair for the name because of the negative connotation of Pirate, same reason we got Rogue and not Thief)

I've also seen some still that show some assets had been removed from the trailer, there's a shot where Meteor has an empty hand that looks like he has pistol.

Also come on, he just LOOKS like a pirate

I don't have much nostalgia for CRPGs of past, just because of my age. But I thought it was a really good, though it was shorter than other CRPGs I've played. It does have a level of replayability though, more than just trying out different classes, your choices really do matter.

I think it's pretty worth it for $7.50.

I would love a 1.5 cast time Caster, Garuda phase is my favorite part of new SMN

Don't think we've gotten any direct hints. The most we can go off of is looking at the Job list and extrapolating from there. For instance, there might be a caster since the last one was Red Mage on Stormblood.

To my knowledge, yes the Fan Fest are where they start to drop hints for the jobs.

 

Personally I would love a Corsair/Pirate themed job that uses a cutlass/pistol combo. Sort of an inverse Red Mage where you go melee to build up a gauge and then jump back to to a ranged burst. Also I don't think we have enough Pirate aesthetics in the game at higher levels. I think it would also slot nicely into using Scouting gear alongside Ninja.
