I don't doubt anything you said, except for the last paragraph.

Ken Bone did an AMA on the same account that he commented on porn subs with - that was not a result of surveillance programs.

I salute you.

People that hate communists tend to also be people who hate LGBTQ+, liberals fit this category (like blahaj 196 with its huge "anti-tankie" banner) they are just better at smiling and covering up their hatred of you.

cw: sexual violence

Not only do the more violent incarcerated people rape incarcerated trans people, the fucking prison guards actually "give them over" to said violent prisoners, by knowingly assigning them to a cell together to placate the violent one.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_people_in_prison#V-coding

Happens to cis men as well, if you are perceived as effeminate or known to be gay. Donny the Punk (Stephen Donaldson) was a prison reform activist who brought a lot of attention to sexual assault in male prisons.

His Wikipedia page is a tough read, but he is basically one of the first people to organize around this and bring the issue to American consciousness.

Defund the police was a watered down psyop. Abolish prisons and police.

They don't want to at all but I've chained them to the desk and propped their eyes open clockwork orange style. They have no choice but to watch me remove Windows

Doesn't sound salvageable. At this point, keep your head down while you look for a a new job.

Awesome, thanks for this! Looks promising, I'll check it out.

Oops, thank you for the heads up!

My partner doesn't do much on the computer except web browsing and writing. The Scrivener writing program had a Linux version at some point that was abandoned.

I wanted to see if anyone personally has used Scrivener with Wine and if it is fussy or not. How has your experience been?

I could set it up for them, but they're not a tech person and will probably reject Linux if it breaks all the time and they have to get me to come fix it.

Extra irrelevant info: trying to decide on having them try Mint or Ubuntu. Fedora is my daily driver and I typically use a headless Debian install for servers, but I heard Mint and Ubuntu are pretty perfect and low fuss for Windows users.
