Australia will increase its missile defence capability after China’s test of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in the South Pacific raised “significant concerns” and as the Asia Pacific region enters a “missile age”.

[...]

Australia has previously said it would spend 74 billion Australian dollars ($49bn) on missile acquisition and missile defence over the next decade, including 21 billion Australian dollars ($13.7bn) to fund the Australian Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Enterprise, a new domestic manufacturing capability.

“We must show potential adversaries that hostile acts against Australia would not succeed and could not be sustained if conflict were protracted,” Conroy said in the speech.

Don’t make me start to think positively of this guy.

The Israeli government says a drone has been launched at Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netayahu's house.

Gina wants to pay workers like 20c an hour if she could.

She's a piece of shit and the world will be better off without her.

Headlining this epic event is Aussie music legends Peking Duk, who will be joined by What So Not, Kaila, NayNay and Lottie (who also moonlights as a Bunnings team member by day). It’s set to take place on August 31 in the store’s car park, with all funds raised going towards Support Act – a not-for-profit organisation that provides crisis relief and mental health support to people in the music industry.

So it's a corporate PR charity concert event? not the most offensive thing I can think of.

While on bail for the torture, the second eldest offender was caught multiple times travelling in stolen cars and stealing hundreds of dollars in fuel from service stations.

Clearly this person is going to grow into a productive member of society.

ABC's really gotten disappointing lately. First Lib gutted it and installed a puppet, and Lab have decided to keep it that way.

Ms Lattouf was let go by the broadcaster on December 20, just hours after sharing a social media post about the war in Gaza.

Reading the description of the state of his body, how they could at all think it was self inflicted is beyond me. And how can an ex-cop refuse to give evidence like that?
