I've had baked crickets before, and they were okay. If I ate them more, I might get a palette for them, but I wouldn't personally say that I liked them. But, I'd suck it up for the, you know, sake of the continuation of pleasant life on Earth.

I like to say that I'll try anything once. But, I've sort of sworn off McDonalds for the most part for a few reasons. But, if they did make this sort of jump, I might try to encourage it with my buck.

I think we should go harder into mycoculture and Insectivory. We can grow mushrooms or other fungus on our plant waste like wood, paper, and food scraps. We can also feed soldier flies, grubs, ants, termites or grasshoppers on farm and food waste.

Insects and fungi are also WAY more efficient than mammals like cows, or reptiles like birds. And they can both use waste material from agriculture without using up resources that we ourselves could use for ourselves. Fungi can be grown in the pitch black, so that reduces energy consumption. Many insects can be grown in far denser populations that like cows or chickens, and they don't have nearly the same level of consciousness (that we know of) as cows or other mammals. So, even if we are still killing them, its arguably less unethical.

On top of that, consumption of insects has way lower risk of disease. Salmonella, worms, prions, etc. You can get those and others from mammals and birds, but insects are so different from us that it's a lot safer for the most part. That being said, there might still be some risk we haven't identified yet.

Wow! They banned 1% of them! That's huge! /s

We can certainly hope that parents unaware do do the research rather than falling for the sales pitch, for sure. I'm glad you dodged that bullet thanks to your parents' actual attempt at researching it.

Exactly. Any regular person would be in prison for decades if not forever, a dozen times over, in the time it took for them to get even this far. After they're done, they should also look at all the people that obstructed this long too. They're complicit at the very least.

Yup, you never know what the cause of the discrepancy could be. It seems even the original team could only get it to work 10% of the time anyway, and they were familiar with the process. Even with detailed instructions, another unfamiliar team may not be able to recreate it even that often.

Until they determine what factor is leading to the occasional creation of the product, it's effectively random whether they will create it or not. It could theoretically take 1000 tries to get it to work once. Or 1,000,000 times. But, it will probably take around 10.

That is, of course, if the product they claim to have made is real. If it isn't real, then they'll never get it. And, if they can figure out what exactly is making it or not, then they should be able to adapt the process to near perfect odds.

That's often how it goes. Something doesn't do what you expect, so you have to keep trying new things until you figure out why it wasn't what you expect.

Yep. The people that argue for conversion therapy are generally not the kind of people that are convinced by actual proof. Sadly.

On the topic of instakills, I always mod them out of Fallout 4 and Skyrim, because it's annoying as hell that I can be instakilled from full HP, when it would otherwise take several hits to even endanger me.

Republicans love co-opting things after all. Libertarians in that sense are just republicans who realized saying that is an automatic red flag.

Yeah, no worries! It's not like I'm trying to really make a proper tarot card deck after all, as I am no mystic! I used the symbolism of the characters own stories to determine which cards I wanted to use. Some of them were a bit of a challenge of course!

I might consider this complete! I forgot the nurglings, but maybe that’s what the other flowers are! Budding nurglings!

This Great Unclean One is one based on the parasitic Rafflesia flower. It’s name is Festus the Fragrant. My impromptu lore is that Nurgle created the flowers as an attempt to please Isha in his sort of way, as much as it was an attempt to spread rot to the Galaxy.

The so-called “Pestula Petals’” intoxicantingly putrid stench is known to induce a powerful stupor and to bring a sort of awe and euphoria to the Plaguebearers and Nurglings that flock about Festus.

The microscopic seeds of the flowers root into the bodies of trees, animals, and even the armor of tanks, its roots splitting bones, bark, and steel as it spreads, before finally bursting out as more odorously fragrant flowers. The flowers consume and integrate the genes of its hosts, allowing the flowers to adapt rapidly to even Astartes or Tyranid physiology.

Creatures that have been infested by the Pestula Petals often have their craniums ruptured by the growing flowers, turning their bodies and surroundings into smaller, but no less beautiful, versions of Nurgles’ blessed gardens.

I’ve been playing Slay the Spire again recently and decided I wanted to do some more fanart for it. Here’s the Defect so far!

I’ve also got the Watcher, Silent, and Ironclad done, but I’ll post those in the coming days!

This is probably the finished colors. I might edit them a bit still. And, when I do a background, I’ll add some more shading and lighting!
