I mean he is correct on a couple things. Reddit isn't "Oppressing" anyone. If they want to charge a ton of money and ban third party apps then they can. They are a private company and can do that. They aren't Oppressing anyone.
And yes, they do have the right to make money. They want to keep it running.
The problem for both is how they are doing it. The outrageous pricing without actually saying they don't want 3rd party apps snd, the lies and slander about devs like Christian and Apollo among them.
Their biggest problem is that us, the users and the moderators who spent significant time VOLUNTARILY , out of their lives, for free, to create and foster those communities, and help create the content that they want to make money on have the right to leave and go elsewhere. And especially the mods, who spend theor hard earned time dealing with it all, can close their communities and leave.
I can see how some of the more selfish people can see it as just taking your toys and leaving, leaving them without their communities and content, but that's on them now to realize why.
Let's just have Microsofts Xbox division name then.
