LibRedirect will automatically forward you to frontends like this for many sites. Now it can detect offline instances and keep trying others

doing a video on it later!

[–] downdaemon@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

please link it! do you have a peertube channel?

[–] GlessasBakerfield@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

no peertube but at 100 subs we are going to backup our channel to odysee which is on the lbry network

[–] downdaemon@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

odysee is full of far right people and cryptocurrency scams

what other alternatives are there really though that have an app store (ios) and android app? plus odysee is just a frontend, i use lbry gtk to access all the content that odysee accesses

Thanks for this! I was using Privacy Redirect before, which was nice, but it didn't have anywhere near this many options.

Or wait for goldfish to release :p its a fediverse tiktok alternative being made.

[–] amplifi@lemmy.ml 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

that won't really replace a proxy to tiktok though. proxitok makes browsing tiktok better and more private whereas goldfish is an entirely different platform, which won't host the same audience or content as tiktok. still an exciting development!

Ik ik, I'm still trying to get the word out. I hate the whole format of tiktok as a whole, but I'd rather have people use goldfish than tiktok

do you have a project link, highly intrested

[–] Lunearity@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Goldfish is very promising as a TikTok alternative

[–] altair222 1 points 2 years ago

I would agree to that

It's useful for when my friends send me tiktok links. Hope someone makes an instance on some darknet to improve anonimity.
