Being a millennial, sitting in my parents house where I live reading this shit makes me want to just give up. I don't even feel like I want something outrageous. Just a little shoe box unit to call my own and I can't afford it even with a job that pays a decent wage. Man, fuck property investors.

I remember that feeling. 10 years ago I was where you are. Save save save, and remember that sometimes renting is the better deal anyways. Be open to trying different areas too, everyone wants to live in the GTA, but doesn't realize there is a whole world out there. It's good for your career too.
Solid personal advice, but our government needs to do its part too.
I can’t imagine being someone whose goal in life is to profit off of the housing market to such a large extent.
To be able to see the level of homelessness we have in our biggest cities, and still continue to scrape up everything you could. It should be a recognized mental condition.
Honestly, some people have so much money and so few interests.
Can we just start with a sensible policy of “if you own two properties anything beyond that will be taxed like crazy. And for-profit corporate landlords are banned or highly regulated”
Maybe these people could pivot their investment to productive ventures.
