Recently acquired an IWC Mark XVIII. Have been searching for a toolish watch that I can wear for work. Did not want the brand of Rolex and specifically wanted something with micro adjust. I had been set on getting a Pelagos 42mm but was disappointed after trying them on 6 months ago. Great watch, but it wore too big and chunky for me to daily.

I've really enjoyed the Mark XVIII. Incredibly thin, flys under the radar and is super legible and comfortable.

I know the Mark XX is out with a "better" movement. But I personally liked the easier to service Sellita based movement in the XVIII. The other big different is that the hands on the XX are polished instead of being black like on the XVIII. I personally like the black hands and that is what drew me to the Pelagos as well.

Interesting bracelet, how does it feel?

I think the bracelet makes the watch. Very comfortable and doesn't seem to get enough praise. The micro adjust is really nicely done and the link removal system insane. Way easier than pins or screws.

Great choice and a beautiful watch. I too prefer the Mark XVIII to the XX (though they are both great watches).

Did you try on/considered the Pelagos 39mm as well?
